Tactics using Gusion[]
- In the early game or the fourth minute down, Gusion is better in lord lane or mid lane using 1-1-3 formation. And for early games that game under 2 minutes Gusion task is clear minion on the lane as soon as possible. Then grab the blue buff, and do not forget to kill the jungle monster. And the last one is the focus as fast as possible to level 4 up.
- Since Gusion has high nuking capabilities, he becomes an excellent ganker to help kill enemies who dare to show themselves around the map.
- And for the mid game that is above 2 to 10 minutes you have to achieve level 4. And if possible after clearing your lane, you need to help your team gank top lane or mid or bot lane since Gusion is an excellent nuker. Focus on killing very squishy enemies such as marksman, mage, or assassins because of their low HP and very squishy nature.
- If it isn't possible to do so, focus on keeping your farm up since Gusion is reliant on getting good farm in order to start being active in the early/mid game.
- Your ultimate, Incandescence makes for a good initiating/escape spell depending on various situations. Due to this fact, try and scan the situation if it's possible to go for kills.
- The last time the late game or game above 10 minutes, your first task is to always follow the war with friends. As mentioned earlier, when in war your best targets are likely to be marksman/mage/support/assassin enemies since this is when they start imposing their true strength. And for when you are wanting to start an ambush, always use skill combo one second skill then ultimate skill to make skill one and second can use again then use skill one last second. If sorted is like this: 1-2-3-2-1-1-2. With this combo, a fully farmed Gusion can completely decimate any squishy heroes on the map.

Countering against Gusion[]
- Keep in mind his Sword Spike has a cast range for his dash move. if you're hit by his 1st skill, try and run as far away as you can before he could manage to dash at you and completely destroy you with his 2nd skill.
- Gusion is completely reliant on his 1st skill to unleash his high damage output done by 2nd skill. If possible, try and dodge his dagger so that you could avoid getting nuked heavily by his devastating combos.
Most personal threats[]
- Summoning skills like Sun and Zhask would counter Gusion. Gusion would hit Zhask's 1st skill instead of Zhask and while it acts as his shield, making most of his damage mitigated. While Sun could duplicate himself unless having Auto-Lock, Sun becomes a true nuisance to Gusion because of his clones and he will get disadvantage for this strategy.
- In the late game, high-mobility assassins like Lancelot, Benedetta or heroes that have abilities which provide invulnerability like Kadita, Ling, Hayabusa can kill Gusion easily, mainly because of their high damage output and possessing better mobility than Gusion, whose only source of mobility is his refreshing ultimate.
